Image result for NYSC declares 3 day mourning for drowned corps members     The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced three long stretches of grieving for the corps individuals who suffocated at the Mayo-Selbe stream close to the Gashaka falls in Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba.

Adenike Adeyemi, the NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations said this in an announcement on Monday in Abuja.

Mrs Adeyemi said the nine corps individuals on Saturday August 4 engaged with the mishap left their places of essential task on an outing at the

site, including that they got suffocated because of the sudden increment in water volume and flood.

She said seven bodies had so far been recouped from the stream by neighborhood jumpers and security specialists while the scan for the staying missing two corps individuals was continuous.

"The whole NYSC family is stunned and disheartened by the savage spot of destiny that came to pass for our corps individuals.

"The corps individuals suffocated because of the sudden increment in water volume and flood of stream Mayo-Selbe close to the Gashaka falls in Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba.

"Seven bodies have so far been recuperated from the stream by neighborhood jumpers and security operators while the look for the staying two missing corps individuals is continuous.

"Administration has, in this way, announced three-day grieving for the spirits of our withdrew saints; starting from Monday Aug, 6.

"Our sympathies are with the families right now," she said.

Mrs Adeyemi said that amid the grieving NYSC banners would fly half-pole across the country.
