Fighters, police repulse extremists' assault

Image result for Soldiers, police repel insurgents’ attack              The Nigerian Army and Police have repulsed an assault by Boko-Haram radicals who endeavored to attack Jakana town in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno.

Many the extremists furnished with complex weapons, raged the town at around 5.30 pm.Jakana is around 40km from Maiduguri, the Borno capital.

Brig-Gen Bulama Biu, GOC 7 Div, Maiduguri, who affirmed the occurrence, said the assault was speedily repulsed.
